That saying 'you attract what you feel' is so true when it comes to love and relationships. Your lack of self worth, of feeling good enough, sets you off on a journey to finding love, which all too often leads to 'just taking what you can get'.
When all you crave is love, when all you need is someone to love you, and when it serves to validate your worth, even the breadcrumbs will often do.
That can mean being in relationships with men who are often dismissive of you. Getting involved with men who are married or already taken, and accepting that this is ok. Being in an emotionally or physically abusive relationships, but telling yourself that it's ok 'most of the time'. Being taken advantage of. Never feeling that spark. Never feeling good enough. Never feeling you'll ever get what everyone else has.
But that's not love.
Before you set out to find it, you've got to love yourself first. It's starts with you. You are your happy ever after. You are your love shack. It's a place where you can get together with you. It's a place where you can show yourself some love.
Respect who you are and what you will, and won't accept. Be proud of who you are and not be ashamed to show yourself to the world, in all your glory.
It's a journey and a half but it's a journey that is absolutely worth pursuing.
You are only ever 12 months away from a whole new life.
Start today, let the magic of the Meghan and Harry love story inspire you.
Who knows where you might be this time next year?
